About Course

The Osteology of the Hip Bone course is designed for second-semester DPT students and provides a detailed study of the bony anatomy of the hip bone. This course focuses on the structural components of the pelvis, including anatomical landmarks, borders, surfaces, and distinguishing features essential for accurate identification and side determination.

Students will develop a clear understanding of how the hip bone contributes to pelvic stability, weight transmission, and lower limb biomechanics. Emphasis is placed on correlating osteological features with functional anatomy and clinical relevance, forming a strong foundation for advanced studies in musculoskeletal anatomy, kinesiology, and physical therapy practice.
