About Course

The Introduction to Integumentary System course provides learners with a foundational understanding of the structure and function of the skin and its associated components. The course covers the anatomy of the integumentary system, focusing on the layers of the skin, specialized cells, and their specific roles in protection, sensation, and regulation.

Students will examine the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis, along with key cell types involved in immunity, pigmentation, and sensory reception. Emphasis is placed on understanding how the integumentary system contributes to homeostasis and overall human health, forming a basis for further study in anatomy, physiology, and clinical sciences.
