The Cleft Palate Speech and Feeding course introduces learners to the speech and feeding challenges associated with cleft palate conditions. The course provides a foundational understanding of oral and velopharyngeal anatomy and explains how structural differences influence feeding patterns and speech production.
Students will explore the importance of early speech therapy intervention and the role of interdisciplinary care in managing cleft palate cases. Emphasis is placed on recognizing functional difficulties, understanding therapeutic approaches, and supporting effective communication and feeding development in affected individuals.
