No Certificate / Course on Audit Track
This course introduces the principles and clinical importance of Central Venous Catheter (CVC) care for safe patient management. Learners gain understanding of the indications, proper handling techniques, and routine maintenance of central lines in clinical settings. The module emphasizes infection prevention practices to reduce the risk of CLABSI and other complications. Practical guidance on dressing, flushing, and monitoring ensures line safety and functionality. By the end, participants are able to confidently apply evidence-based CVC care to improve patient outcomes.

By completing this course, you will be able to:
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of hemodynamic monitoring by its basic concepts and physiological principles to interpret monitoring parameters (such as CVP and arterial line values) in critically ill patients for normal and abnormal trends for clinical scenarios of hemodynamic instability for appropriate nursing interventions.
Learners should have completed foundational nursing courses, including Medical-Surgical Nursing, Anatomy & Physiology, and Pharmacology. They are also expected to demonstrate basic clinical competencies such as patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, infection control practices, and Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, ensuring readiness for advanced critical care learning.
This course is designed for nursing students or registered nurses who are entering or currently working in critical care or high-dependency settings. The learners typically possess foundational knowledge of basic nursing and clinical skills and are seeking to advance their competencies in managing critically ill patients. They will benefit from structured learning in advanced patient monitoring, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based interventions required in intensive care environments such as ICUs, emergency units, and specialized critical care units.
