Metabolism of Carbohydrate

This course provides a basic understanding of carbohydrate metabolism and its importance in energy production and blood glucose regulation. The included video lectures cover two major metabolic pathways i.e. glycolysis, which explains the breakdown of glucose to produce energy, and gluconeogenesis, which describes the synthesis of glucose from noncarbohydrate sources during fasting or low glucose conditions. These topics will help students understand how the body maintains energy balance and glucose homeostasis.
