The Ocular Anatomy course provides learners with a foundational understanding of the structural components of the eye and its associated tissues. The course introduces the anatomy of the globe, ocular layers, extraocular muscles, and supporting structures involved in vision and eye movement.
Designed for students of optometry, orthoptics, vision sciences, and allied health sciences, the course prepares learners for clinical training and advanced study in eye care. Emphasis is placed on understanding anatomical relationships and their functional relevance in maintaining normal visual processes and ocular health.

To be successful in this course, you should have a background in basic biology and introductory human anatomy. Familiarity with cell structure and fundamental physiological concepts will help in understanding the anatomical organization and functional significance of ocular structures.
This course is intended for undergraduate students of Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, Orthoptics, Vision Sciences, and Medical Sciences and Allied health sciences, particularly in pre-clinical and early clinical semesters. It benefits learners who require a strong foundation in ocular embryology and anatomy to support clinical training, diagnosis, and advanced eye care practice.
