The Periodization in Sports Training course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of how training programs are systematically planned and structured over time in sports physical therapy. The course explains the scientific principles behind load management, recovery, and performance optimization while minimizing the risk of injury and overtraining.
Students will explore various models of periodization, including their application in athletic performance enhancement and rehabilitation settings. Emphasis is placed on the role of physiotherapists in designing, implementing, and monitoring training cycles based on individual athlete needs, injury status, and performance goals, supporting evidence-based athlete management.
